Cgi Tutorials [Anti Leech]
CHMODing is VERY important!,if
you don't do it your scripts will NOT work

755 = Read, Write & Execute for Owner, Read & Execute for Group
& Other.
777 = Read, Write & Execute for all.

Anti Leech is a really great way to protect your files from gay leechers that steal your bandwidth causing your site to load slow. This is the script I use.

First if u don't have it download the BEST anti leech here
then extract to a folder of your choice.
- Second u HAVE to double check an
make sure your perl path is right(in all cgi files) its usually"#!/usr/bin/perl",if
your not sure ask your host.
- Make these directory's in your ftp account..
Anti an inside Anti make one called data
or better something that noone could guess, cause it will have all your
REAL links..in other words someone could get all your files so make it data00
or something else.
- Now upload admin.cgi/download.cgi/variables.pl
to yourAnti directory in ASCII mode! then CHMOD admin.cgi
an download.cgi to 755 an variables.pl to
666.
- Then upload anti_stats.txt/files.txt/leechlog.txt
in yourdata directory in ASCII mode! then CHMOD those
files to 777.
- Next open leecher.html an edit it in any
html editor to what u want it to say then upload it to your Anti directory
.don't worry about CHMODed it..an also upload help.jpg in Binary Mode
to Anti too.
- Finally call up admin.cgi in your browser
(ex.http://www.yoursite.com/cgi-bin/Anti/admin.cgi) and you should be able to
set it up without any probs..if you need any more help post in the forums
